It is over forty years since Vern Jacobson bought a small house on the corner of 8th Avenue and Cameron Road in Tauranga, laid out some gravel and put six cars up for sale.  Today after having several different franchises, his sons Grant and Craig run the business. They bring with them many years of experience from both within and beyond the car industry, with a deep understanding of customer service and value.

The brothers took on the Hyundai dealership in 2001 and both are confident about the Korean company’s aims to be within the top five car makers in the world. The vastly improved range and quality improvements over recent years have provided the family business with the incentive to take the brand to the next level in the Tauranga district.  

The level of engineering and quality in areas such as the Hyundai engine used to power the Tiburon, a 2.7 litre V6 has impressed Craig and Grant, along with many clients in the Bay region.

Playing the “winning horse” in the competitive vehicle market has prompted the dealership to provide an expansive glassed in showroom facility, and invest in state of the art servicing facilities with Hyundai trained mechanics.

Hyundai’s reputation for reliability is supported by an excellent service relationship with Hyundai’s parts centre in Auckland, ensuring fast and cost effective parts delivery for all components and replacement requirements.

The Jacobson brothers are proud to be involved with the company they see eclipsing more established brands such as Mitsubishi, and beginning to nudge out Honda in the aggressive sedan market.
